Manner Guide

Important Information for Your Visit

At Setouchi Golf Resort, we kindly ask all guests to observe the following manners and rules to ensure a safe and comfortable resort experience for everyone. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Dress Code

Upon Arrival / After Play / When Using the Clubhouse:

We recommend wearing smart casual attire (not overly casual) when entering or leaving the clubhouse.
Please refrain from wearing sandals, tank tops, or using towels draped around your neck.

When using the Golf Course:

Please refrain from wearing the following attire.

  • ·Hot pants, mini skirts, tennis skirts (skorts)
  • ·T-shirts (board necks, henley necks, undershirts, etc.)
  • ·Tank tops, camisoles, or other revealing clothing

<Regarding Other Attire>

  • ·Please wear shirts with collars (including mock-neck shirts without fold-over collars).
    Women may wear an overblouse.
  • ·If you wear a jacket, sweater, cardigan, or other collarless top (such as V-neck or crew neck), please wear it over a collared shirt or mock-neck shirt without fold-over.
  • ·When wearing shorts, short socks that reach the heel are acceptable.

Facility and Play Etiquette

  • ·For the protection of the greens and club facilities, as well as environmental preservation, metal spikes are prohibited.
  • ·Smoking during play is allowed only in the teeing areas and inside golf carts. Smoking is strictly prohibited elsewhere; ashtrays are not provided on the course, so please use the ones installed in the carts.
  • ·Smoking in the clubhouse and pro shop is allowed only in designated areas. All other areas are non-smoking.
  • ·Please refrain from using mobile phones on the course except for emergency calls.
    In the clubhouse, use mobile phones only in areas where you will not disturb other guests.

For quick play progress

  • ·Please gather at the teeing ground at least 10 minutes before your scheduled start time.
  • ·Aim to complete each 9-hole half within approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
  • ·If you believe your ball may enter a wooded area or hazard, bring 2–3 appropriate clubs with you.
  • ·When playing around the green (including on the green), park your cart in the designated location (behind the green) and move promptly after all players have holed out.
  • ·If there is more than one hole between your group and the group ahead, and there is a group waiting behind you, allow the following group to play first (let them pass).

For Safe and Comfortable Play

  • ·Please repair any ball marks on the greens.
  • ·Be careful not to drag your spikes on the greens.
  • ·Enter and exit bunkers from the lowest point, and smooth the sand after you finish your shot.
  • ·Ensure to check your surroundings carefully before making a shot to avoid any accidents.
