The tee shot is slightly downhill. Around 200 yards remaining, there is a one-stroke penalty on the left; with a following wind, reaching in two shots is possible.
Plan & Play
A long par-4 that doglegs sharply to the right. This is a highly strategic hole where the target of the tee shot has a significant impact on scoring. With an out-of-bounds area running along the right side, players seeking consistency are advised to aim toward the center or slightly left side of the fairway. Trying too hard to gain distance increases the difficulty at the corner of the dogleg, so prioritizing direction over power is key.
The green slopes downward from the back, so aiming for the front is effective in preventing the ball from running long.
Tips
The ideal tee-shot position is just left of the right-side bunker, but the key is not to challenge the right side too aggressively. On the second shot, the lie is less level than it appears, making directional control difficult; avoid overswinging and consider using a longer club for controlled contact.
The green is a pronounced elevated target, and missing short can leave a challenging approach up the slope or a difficult bunker shot with a high lip. As a tactical option, playing the second shot slightly long can also be an effective way to attack the hole.
